PhD Student & Research Associate/Assistant

This Fellowship scheme offered by HK Research Grants Council aims to recruit high-calibre students from around the world to undertake their PhD studies in Hong Kong.

 

We invite expression of interests from graduates with proven record of academic excellence and research capability. The awardees will be provided with a 3-year tuition scholarship, a monthly stipend of HK$27,100 and Conference and Research related travel allowance of HK$13,600 each year. Interested candidates should apply in September-November each year.

Outstanding individuals with a strong commitment to original research are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have satisfactory scores in IELTS (6.5 or above, with a score for writing component at 6.0 or above) or TOEFL (internet-based: 90+; computer-based: 232+; paper-based: 575+).

 

Excellent English communication skills, team-working abilities and self-motivation are essential. PhD studentship (HK$18,500 each month) and conference allowance (HK$25,000 in total) will be offered to successful applicants. Interested candidates should apply in August-November each year.

 

Research Associate/Assistant

Initial appointments will be available for 6-12 months, with extension depending on satisfactory progress and mutual agreement. Successful applicants are expected to hold a Doctoral or Masters degree in civil & environmental engineering, or a related field. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
